My client Denny and I just had our third anniversary of training Friday (kindly send your gifts to this address 🙂 ). We did all of our measurements over again and had a nice reflection back to where we started from.
Normally, I write every article in the newsletter – but Denny posted something on facebook that I feel needs to be shared.
Shared with all those people who think they can’t do it. People who think its too hard, or they don’t have the time, or that it takes a drastic life change.
Read Denny’s words. He gets it. What the Dexter Training Concepts truly are.
Denny Eastons Facebook Post 9/25/15….
A HEALTHY LIFE….read this and you will learn my answer and what I believe to be the only answer. This is a tribute to Kim and Paul Dexter and my entire family and all the friends who supported me.
Prior to 3 years ago tomorrow 9/25/2012 life was grand so I thought, owned my own business, great wife, healthy beautiful kids, great family. I didn’t see things were slowly heading down the wrong path. I spent my days working and “socializing” with friends and customers stopping daily for drinks and appetizers. Started off once in a while and then before you knew it became a daily thing. So my wife expressed her concern with me and I knew she was right, I needed to change my health and business immediately!!!
I had gained weight since 8 years of boxing and serving 10 years in the Marine Corps. Things were were different physically and mentally and my buddy Mike could and did poke my belly like the pillsbury doughboy it was embarrassing. I missed out on business opportunities due to not being motivated or was to busy hanging at bars eating and drinking.
So I set up a meeting with Paul Dexter at DTC (Kim knew a friend threw work where he and his wife trained by Paul). I told him my deepest concerns, I wanted to get in shape, I wanted to be able to live a longer healthier life for family and myself, I wanted to have a clear mind and greatest thing happened I found a self hidden sanctuary in training even if it was for only an hour, it was my place.
I’m proud to say tomorrow is my 3 year anniversary training with Paul Dexter at DTC! Great things have changed in my life, my wife left the corporate world and has joined me building our business and she is training at DTC now, I stopped my social gathering at bars and made them at my office, my children come to me to do homework at night, I’m honored to coach Bradys baseball teams and be in every part of both Haily and Bradys life every day.
In the past 3 years of changing my diet to a healthy balanced plan, limiting (not eliminating) my alcohol, training 3-4 times per week, and cardio a couple times per week. I am now extremely proud to show that through dedication, determination and support this is where I am today…

Besides the physical changes, I now work beside my amazing wife, business is going great and growing, my mind is sharp and clear. I’m energetic so I’m able to go home and help cook, clean, do homework, coach baseball and not be tired or “fall asleep early”. I’m truly a partner to my wife, a father to my children and most of all completely happy.
I want the world to know that I thank my wife first and foremost for her love and never ending support. I will never be able to say or show how much she means to me but I will be spend the rest of my life telling and showing her and the rest of the world. I thank Paul, my personal trainer, for his knowledge and never ending drive to help me with my body, mentally and physically. You have become a true friend and I’m honored to say that.
Sorry this is long, but here it is – there is no secret pill, there is no secret diet, there is no magical cream (sorry to break it to you and all the infomercials, and internet ads that are more than happy to take all your money). It takes changes starting with the true mental determination to change your ways, then it needs to be worked on daily, even when its not easy. There are setbacks just like anything else in life, it needs to be a mental and physical process, but in the end you will be here to truly smile- maybe even cry as you embrace the ones you love for more years…. After all, isn’t that what life is all about!?… It is to me.
Congratulations Denny!
I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Thank you for making me look good…..It’s been a pleasure!
